Guitars
Larry is currently playing on 24" scale double-top guitars built by Paul Woolson. Paul has become one of the premier double-top builders in the steel-string guitar world, and his "Road Trip" guitar project was recently featured in Acoustic Guitar Magazine. Larry and Paul collaborated so that Paul could produce a "Little Parlor" guitar, that is, a small bodied, 24" scale, 14 frets-to-the-body guitar that does double service as both a portable travel guitar, and a superb handcrafted acoustic instrument. Plug the Little Parlor in to a PA system and marvel at the huge sound, in fact.
Built with an elevated fingerboard concept, a custom/ergonomic cutaway, soundport, and recessed upper fretboard, the LP is a unique instrument. Couple this with the double- top building technique, and the Little Parlor guitar is as beautiful sounding as it is playable.
Larry is proud to have worked with other builders whom are still close friends, including Mark Blanchard, Bill Tippin , and with Dick Boak, Artist Relations at Martin Guitars.
